So that we are locked in our homes in this Pandemic. I thought to watch some of legendary movies of  all time. Which are evergreen and will definitely  be worth watching in your free time. 

I have watched a lot of Hollywood movies.

So here's the list

5: The Pursuit of Happyness

Starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner and his son Jaden Smith as Christopher Gardner.

Both performing an incredible emotional life of a father and son.

This movie is popular for it's inspiring story for all those who are trying to find there happiness in there life.

Chris Gardner takes an unpaid internship in a brokerage firm hoping of getting a permanent and stable job, after he losses his life earnings by investing it in a product . His wife leaves him leaving only the custody of his son.

Chris decides to turn his life while taking care of his son, while competing with 20 interns to get the position of stockbroker.

Watching the relation between father and son and struggle of Chris balancing his working life with his house life will melt your heart. 

4: 1917 (2019)

This is an intense and fast pacing movie taking place during World War 1. Starring George MacKay as Lance Corporal Scofield  and  Dean-Charles Chapman as Lance Corporal Blake.

This two soldiers are given lethal and impossible orders against the time.

They must cross the enemy territory to to deliver a message that could save the lives of 1,600 comrades.

Scofield is just following his order and his duty while Blake has a emotional reason of saving his own brother from one of those 1,600.

This movie had everybody's eye on it for it's single take. However there were few cuts and few hidden cuts, this movie sets up a another bar for single shot scenes.

1917 won an Academy Award for the Best Cinematography of 2019.

This movie will race your heartbeats as the time for saving the blood of soldiers decreases.  

3: Batman:The Dark Knight (2008)

This is an sequel for the Batman Begins(2005) Starring Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Batman taking the help of Lt. Jim Gordon And DA Harvey Dent tries to make Gotham City Crime free. Just when a unheard psychopath criminal calling himself the Joker turns the whole city into chaos bringing terrifying plans with himself to destroy Gotham.

 

This movie is famous for it's outstanding performing by Heath Ledger who was the first actor to win a Oscar for the best actor for a super hero/comic film.

This movie shows a villain can destroy hero's life without having any lethal superpowers.

This movie contains a dark super hero story with interesting twists and turns.

This is an amazing portrait of Arthur Fleck (Joker) that we have never seen before.

This is first movie ever to totally based on a villain without any superhero.

Starring Joaquin phoenix as the Joker

This shows the struggling life of Arthur Fleck as a comedian who is ignored and by the society, and being bullied for is his illness ultimately makes his rage into a psychopath killer.

Joaquin phoenix is the second actor after Heath ledger to receive an Oscar for the best actor.

Joker is a treat for comic book fans.

1: ShawShank Redemption (1994)

Starring  Morgan freeman as Ellis Boyd (Red)

And Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresense.

This movie is something amazing in its own way .

You'll get amazed by the story line of this masterpiece.

Andy Dufresense a successful banker is getting arrested

accusing for murdering his wife and her lover .

He is sentenced for life imprisoned in Shawshank prison

Where he is the unconventional prisoner.
